  • Craniosacral Therapy | Dr. Megan Kimberley

Craniosacral Therapy is gentle, extremely powerful, and totally guided by the client's readiness to heal. It is light hands on touch that releases restrictions in the fascial membranes; thin onion-skin-like coverings of the brain, nerves, muscles and organs. Craniosacral Therapy Craniosacral Therapy is gentle, extremely powerful, and totally guided by the client's readiness to heal. It is light hands on touch that releases restrictions in the fascial membranes; thin onion-skin-like coverings of the brain, nerves, muscles and organs. The therapist assesses and utilizes the Craniosacral Pulse created by the subtle rhythmic flow of the Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) in the brain. This Pulse is carried all over the body via the fascial membranes. Craniosacral Therapy can release scar tissue formed from physical or emotional injuries to the body. What is generally felt by the client is profound relaxation. It is beneficial to all those experiencing pain, and is fabulous for concussions. Treatments can be a quick few minutes on a squirmy toddler, and up to 40 mins for folks happy to lie fully clothed and relaxed on the table. It is used quite often with children, headaches, emotional issues, chronic pain, muscle strains, relaxation, and physical injuries that have not been completely resolved. Much work has been done on psychiatric problems, strokes and head injuries using Craniosacral Therapy with amazing results. Acupressure Acupressure This is acupuncture for sensitive wimps, who would rather not be poked all over with little pins. Acupressure uses firm finger and thumb pressure on acupuncture points, releasing pain, relaxing spasms, and bringing about emotional balance. It can be just as effective as the needles. Dr. Megan uses this often in tandem with other hands on healing techniques such as craniosacral therapy, bowen, and massage. Connect

  • Psychosomatic Energetics | Dr. Megan Kimberley

Psychosomatic Energetics (P.S.E.) Is a system of diagnosis and treatment using combination homeopathic remedies to resolve mental and emotional issues. We call it psychotherapy in a bottle! Psychosomatic Energetics Psychosomatic Energetics (P.S.E.) Is a system of diagnosis and treatment using combination homeopathic remedies to resolve mental and emotional issues. What's fun with this system is no talking or discussion of the emotional issues is needed. This makes it a wonderful system to use with children. It also targets and releases old issues that an adult patient may not be aware of day to day, but is draining of their physical energy. The testing is non-invasive, quickly measuring the presenting energy field of the patient. Dr. Remar Banis of Switzerland developed this system over decades of research, initially modeling his formulas after the old Bach Flower remedies formulated in the 1930's by Dr. Edward Bach, in England. The identified energy blocks are treated using specific homeopathic compounds that can be administered in liquid drops, or small sweet pellets. We call it psychotherapy in a bottle! • Botanical Medicine | Dr. Megan Kimberley

This is Plant Medicine – Nature’s original Cure! These concentrated botanicals come in capsules, where they are dried and tested for quality, content, and possible contaminants. Botanical Medicine This is Plant Medicine – Nature’s original Cure! These concentrated botanicals come in capsules, where they are dried and tested for quality, content, and possible contaminants. Dr. Megan also uses liquid Botanical Tincures. These are liquids made from soaking the medicinal part of a plant in a specific ratio of alcohol and water for a prescribed amount of time. This allows maximal extraction of active constituents. These may be the leaves, stems, seeds, flowers, or roots of the plant. For example, for crataegus (the hawthorne tree) the red berries are used, and often the little pink flowers and leaves too. For hypericum (St. johns wort) the leaves and yellow flowers are used. Plants are brought in from around the world, relying on varying climates to raise the healthiest herbs. For example, the piper mythisticum (kava kava) comes from Fiji, and the mentha pipirita (mint) comes from Egypt. You could get the taraxacum (dandelion) from your back yard, but you will experience variations in strength, and you will want to give it a good rinse. One can enjoy the tinctures in a small amount of water, tea, or with honey. Some like to feel the full effects fast by squirting it right in the mouth. The strong tastes come from the strength of the medicine. Adding it to hot water evaporates the small amount of alcohol that keeps them potent. Connect

Spiritual Health It is a well documented and researched fact that spirituality has profound effects on physical health. Dr. Megan Kimberley plays a role in supporting the spiritual beliefs of her patients. An active spiritual life can be gatherings at church, temple, or forest, with retreats, meditations, and prayers. Spiritual connection happens alone or with others. Belief in a higher power is extremely relieving - having someone else to blame and pass responsibility on to is awesome. The forgiveness and love that pervades all valuable spiritual teachings are balm to the soul. Too often this aspect of humanity is overlooked, especially in the scientific medical community. Deep peace, love and joy expands in patients that experience true healing. What could be wrong with that. Connect

  • About | Dr. Megan Kimberley

About Dr. Megan Kimberley Education I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from the University of British Columbia, a degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM, a four year course), and extra training over the years in pharmacology, craniosacral therapy, homeopathy, acupuncture, meditation, counselling, and a myriad of other random weekend courses from Red Cross, to Religions of the world. A Love of learning keeps me poor. If you scroll to the bottom you will see links to CCNM, and the College of Naturopathic Physicians of B.C. (CNPBC) that gives me my license to practice, and regulates our profession. The B.C. Naturopathic Association (BCNA) link has good info on naturopathic medicine. The Los Angeles school of Homeopathy link I included as it has some solid info on the enigma that is homeopathy. Experience I have been in clinical practice since 2001 in Penticton, B.C., treating patients one on one, except when they bring with them their suspicious children or spouse. I have treated many diseases in many states of severity. I have told a few parents that the lump in their child's neck is just an active lymph node, and given a few gentle remedies. I have told the 60 year old to get the lump on his neck removed ASAP, as it was carcinoma. I have assessed many other odd lumps and weird rashes. I have treated suicidal depression, the sorry-for-myself blues, chronic sinusitis, and acute sprains. I have helped women and men heal remarkably from cancer with treatment plans all naturopaths know about. I have seen homeopathic remedies spark total turn arounds in health. I have seen minor diet changes cure gall bladders and ulcers, reflux and constipation. Concussions resolve wonderfully with craniosacral therapy, and acupuncture is my go to for immediate relief from pain. I have given out many, many lollipops (all natural organic ones of course!), and not all of them to kids. I have gone through twice as many Kleenex boxes. Tears come with the relief of healing, the safe space to share fears, the venting of old traumas. It's all healing. Sometimes, a patient needs something I don't have. I have sent them to chiropractors, medical doctors, gastroenterologist, Intuitive counsellors, cardiologists, and dentists. I have never, ever, given up on a patient. Know your source.
